Adding IMAP accounts

Notion supports all IMAP-connected emails, including Yahoo, Office 365, AOL, and IMAP-enabled Exchange servers.

Non-Exchange IMAP accounts are easy to set up! Notion will automatically detect your settings for you, so all you need is a correct password.

Exchange accounts can be trickier.

Exchange accounts must be able to connect via IMAP. You may need to contact a system admin for your server's settings and to verify that your server is using the IMAP port.

When adding Exchange accounts, we recommend that you have your server's IMAP settings handy and double-check your account password before proceeding to log in. If your Exchange account is not using IMAP, your settings are incorrect, or if you enter an incorrect password, you will receive an error message.

Follow these steps to add an IMAP account to Notion:

iOS:

  1. Fill in your IMAP email address and press the purple Next button that appears after you enter a valid email address

  2. Type in your name and account password. If you find you made a typo in your email address, press Back and start over with the correct email address.
